WES BARTON – CHURCH ADMINISTRATOR
Hi! My name is Wes Barton. I grew up in Rochester, New York and first trusted in Jesus Christ as my Lord and Savior in 1978. My wife Denise and I met in the early 1980’s through our shared involvement with The Navigators (a Christian disciplemaking ministry). We have been married for 23 years and together we have five children. I completed a career in the Navy (as a submariner and oceanographer) before we moved to Franklin in 1995 so that I could teach math and science in a Christian day school. The Lord led us to start attending First Alliance Church in 2002 and, just a year later; I was asked to join the church staff as Assistant to the Senior Pastor for Administration and Small Groups. In my spare time, I read, help coach Christy’s basketball team at Trimont Christian Academy, and teach a math course at the local community college. I am a BIG fan of the Boston Celtics (basketball), San Diego Padres (baseball), and Dunkin’ Donuts (coffee & donuts). My biggest passion, however, is to get to know God better through the careful study of His Word. Some day I would love to learn the piano and tour Great Britain with my wife.
